Dr. John Dempster is the founder and medical director of The Dempster Clinic – Center for Functional Medicine in Toronto, Canada, where he takes a personalized, root-cause approach to chronic illness and preventative care. As a functional medicine doctor and naturopathic clinician, he works with a wide range of patients—from high-performance individuals to those managing complex, long-term conditions—with a focus on optimizing health and longevity through evidence-informed therapies.
 

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Dempster is the founder of the Healthy Gut Institute, an online program designed to help individuals identify and address the underlying causes of chronic digestive issues. He is the host of The Gut Reset Summit and the former co-host of The Mental Wellness Summit, where he has brought together leading voices in integrative and functional health to share science-based insights for healing the body and mind.
 

Dr. Dempster has been featured on national television, podcasts and wellness platforms across Canada and internationally, where he speaks on topics including gut health, emotional well-being and chronic disease prevention. When not working with patients or collaborating with health experts, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three children.
